About Bluebird Cottage Inn
Located on Highway 243, less than a mile south of downtown Idyllwild, Bluebird Cottage Inn offers 25 units ranging from cozy economical rooms, to comfortable independent cabins. Whether you're looking for a place to lay your head down for the night or for a luxurious romantic night, we have what you are looking for. Bluebird offers rooms with kitchens, fireplaces ranging from electric to wood burning, and even double sized jacuzzi bathtubs. We also offer free wireless internet for our guests.

Bluebird Property
Our property is laid out on a two and a half acre plot of land surrounded by pine, oak and manzanita trees. There are areas to sit in our central grounds, as well as next to each cottage. Enjoy a stroll around Bluebird Cottage Inn or up the quiet, peaceful, and wooded neighborhood roads.
Our cottages are laid out in a centralized way that are good for family reunions and other group get togethers. Some of our cottages are duplex cottages which work well for multiple couples coming up to enjoy the mountain environment.
Being located a short distance from the Idyllwild village makes it ideal for enjoying the peace and quiet of the mountain area while still being a conveniently short drive to town. We are about a mile high in elevation in the San Jacinto mountain area offers a cooler than most of southern California Climate. We have four seasons at this height!

Bluebird History
The Bluebird Cottage Inn was built in 1957, as the Bluebird Hill Cottage. It started out as 10 units, located on the edge of Bluebird Hill, overlooking the western valley. Over the years it has expanded from a lodge building and a few duplex cottages to more cottages and cabins.
To this day, the Bluebird maintains its quiet location among the fresh green pines and cedars. It affords a refreshing view of great majestic beauty, and is far enough from the village to have its own quiet solitude.
